for managing the revenue lifecycle—which
includes price and contract management, reimbursement
payments and regulatory compliance.
The Challenge
Because real-time price requests from SAP
R/3 to the client application can run as high
as 100,000, Bristlecone needed to provide
an optimal solution to invoke the application
from SAP R/3. Considerations included the
following:

The need to support different versions of
SAP, from R/3
to NetWeaver

The need to work independently of SAP and
client databases
The Solution
Bristlecone Labs proposed a scalable, configurable
generic framework that could be customized.
We delivered a JCO Server program implementation,
which maintains configurable sets of databases
and connections. This solution executes stored
procedures to deliver pricing configuration
and flow information maintained through ABAP
screens. Bristlecone also provided extensive
load runner tests because the system is expected
to handle a high volume of requests.
Client Impact
The client has experienced improved product
design and development efficiency. Testing
has ensured highly optimized code for unprecedented
performance. Rigorous load testing has ensured
effective management of a high volume of requests.
The partnership between Bristlecone and the
client has continued to grow. Bristlecone
is currently assisting the client in implementing
the solution and integrating its application
with its customers. This engagement includes
building data transfer scenarios that use
NetWeaver technologies such as XI. |
